Simultaneous Development and Series Supply

Join the heat exchanger design while the equipment is still being developed

Cold plate installed on solar cell production equipment

Overview

Simultaneous development means joining the heat exchanger while the customer's new equipment is still being designed, rather than waiting for a frozen drawing. The benefit is that the coil can be optimised together with the machine structure, duct and control strategy. If the heat exchanger is left until the end, the remaining space and parameter window are usually too narrow, and both performance and reliability suffer.

Development process

From requirements to series supply, we work through five stages with defined outputs and confirmation points.

Requirements

Medium, temperature, flow, pressure and installation envelope

Design and calculation

Surface area, circuit arrangement, pressure drop and material selection

Prototype build

Sample built to the actual equipment structure to confirm fit and interfaces

Validation

Performance and reliability testing with the customer

Series supply

Frozen process and inspection for batch-to-batch consistency

Capability

The technical team carries out the thermal calculation and structural design and works directly with fabrication and inspection.

  • Thermal calculation and selection: surface area, circuit layout and pressure drop
  • Structure and interface design: internal space, duct and pipe routing
  • Material selection against corrosion and medium compatibility
  • Fin processes: high-frequency welding, brazing, tube expansion, embedding and winding
  • Inspection and validation: incoming material, welding procedure, hydrostatic and leak tests

Proven applications

The following areas have moved from joint development to series supply or validation.

  • PV cell manufacturing equipment: cold plates and fin coils in series supply
  • Washing and drying equipment: steam heating coils in series supply
  • Hydrogen equipment: vehicle recuperator, hydrogen generator heat exchanger and marine exhaust-to-oil unit
  • Export: high-pressure steam heaters to Russia and a shell and tube unit to Italy

Ways to work together

  • Prototype development: sample units and technical support for equipment under validation
  • Joint development: participate in the customer's design process and agree the thermal and mechanical concept together
  • Series supply: stable supply to the approved technical state with batch consistency

FAQ

What is the minimum order quantity and prototype cost?
It depends on the project. Contact us with the duty and quantity and we will confirm.
How long does development take?
It depends on structural complexity and validation requirements. Prototype and series stages have different lead times.
How is technical confidentiality handled?
We can sign an NDA and manage drawings and process documents as agreed.
